All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for
reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness
~ 2 Timothy 3:16
Jesus tells us that he has come that we might have a real life and
eternal life, a better life than we could ever have imagined. This is
not just a life in heaven when we die, it's a real life NOW! What does
this life look like? How can we begin to experience this life? What can
we learn about this life from looking at scripture? Do these stories
from 2000 years ago actually matter today.
DEVOTIONAL
I'm going to challenge you to start opening your bible. Start in the
Gospels if you haven't read them. You'd be amazed how easy it is to
read and understand. You'd also be amazed at the message Jesus has for
you. Looking for more help? Maybe a devotional to go through? Check out the devotionals this site has to
offer. It may not be for you, if it isn't, talk to or contact
Dave, he'll find and buy you one.
Looking for some reading resources?
I'd recommend reading the following books as a suppliment to your time in scripture:
* Blue Like Jazz - Donald Miller
* Messy Spirituality - Mike Yaconelli
* Irresistable Revolution - Shane Claiborne
* Under the Overpass - Mike Yankoski
* Epic - John Eldridge
Discipleship
If you desisre to grow more, we have discipleship groups that meet
throughout the week. These groups meet for about an hour and are people
who are committed to growing in their faith and their relationship with
eachother. If this is something you desire talk to Dave or one of the
other youth leaders. Or use the contacts link at the top right.
